The price at your place

We own and operate our own network, and everyday it is expanding. The Compass network covers hundreds around 70% of New Zealand. We operate equipment in most local exchanges, and work with our partners to provide service we we don’t have our own network. This lets us deliver the benefits of our lower costs to homes and businesses in more places.

So that means the price you pay for our broadband and phone deals is determined by where you live, because our costs depend on the local exchange you’re connected to.

If you’re on an exchange where we have our own equipment installed we can give you our lowest pricing because our costs are the lowest.

When you sign up with Compass, we’ll always confirm the price that applies at your address before we switch you over.

Unlimited Broadband

When you choose one of our unlimited broadband packages, there’s no such thing as too much data.

That means you can use the internet as much as you like.

Data Plans

If you choose one of our data plans, you’re buying a fixed data allowance to use every calendar month.

When you sign up, you can choose to pay for extra data or to have your broadband speed slowed, if you use more than your allowance any month.

Don’t worry, you can upgrade your plan if you find the data allowance you chose just isn’t enough.

Bring your own modem or router

We offer you our best prices, in as many places as possible, all the time. That means we don’t pad the price to include a new modem or router. We also run FREE modem deals time to time, so don’t foget to look out for our recent deals or call us to find out more 0800 648 888.

The modem you probably already have should work just fine when you switch to Compass. If you need a modem, we keep our prices as competitive as possible and the team can ensure it is configured and ready to go.

Free Connection

All our broadband plans come with a free standard connection. That means connection is free for most people.

If your house has never had a phone line connected, or there’s a line running to the house but it’s not been in use for some time, getting connected might cost.

We’ll always talk to you about any charges in advance though, so you can make an informed choice.

One free standard move of address is available with all our broadband plans too. That means it’s free for most people to take their broadband with them when they move house.

If your new place has never had a phone line connected, or there’s a line running to the house but it’s not been in use for some time, getting connected again might come at a cost.

Free Upgrades

Compass – the price that applies at your placeFibre Broadband – or Ultra Fast Broadband (UFB) is here, offering speeds of up to 100Mbps – that’s lightning quick. So where possible we will get you connected to Fibre, and if Fibre is not yet available in your area then we will monitor it for you and let you know as soon as possible.

Flex Your Plan

Kids coming to visit? Constantly going over your data allowance? Making lots of toll calls? We want to ensure your plan flexes with your needs, so upgrades are free and after 6 months with Compass, one free downgrade is included with your plan. Where possible, we will notify you if you are on the wrong plan or make suggestions on how we could build your plan to better suit your needs.

Flexible Payment Options

Manage your account in a way that suits you. We offer a range of innovative payment options including PrePay.

Our Prepay service is open to everyone, with no credit checks or hefty bonds. You simply need to load enough credit to your account to fund your Compass services and keep it in enough credit to cover the next 4 days.

Make instant payments on your account with your Bill Guru payment card at thousands of dairies and convenience stores throughout New Zealand. Pay in store using any payment method the store accepts, including cash.

You’ll receive notifications whenever your balance is running low and can top up in around 2,500 dairies and convenience stores around New Zealand. Find out more about our Prepay service here.
